A big shout out to the Meridian township EMT guys: Brian, Chuck, Joe and Mark.
Thanks to Peggy in admissions.
Thanks to my nurses at Sparrow, too many to remember but Adam, Mary, Florrin and Jen helped a ton.
Thanks to Dr Sword's surgical team. So far, so good
Thanks,to all the phlebby techs who were able to squeeze blood out of a turnip. I am glad you do not work for the IRS.
You have an email from me.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I will look.
DeleteKeep that sense of humor going. Prayers for a quick full recovery.
ReplyDeleteERJ, how kind of you to call them out. When dealing with my parents, I was rather shocked to recall the amount of people in all roles that we dealt with - and all of them really nice, too.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, keep that sense of humor up. And continued prayers.
Get well soon. Heal quickly. Having been in multiple car and motorcycle accidents over an interesting life you have my compassion. Daily prayer's headed your way.
ReplyDeleteRemus advised us to stay away from crowds. He probably didn't think we needed to be told not to play in the street... Heal soon. Mind the physical therapist. Roger
ReplyDeleteGood on them for doing the good work!
ReplyDeleteGreat guns, Joe! I don’t check in for a few days and this is what happens. I’ve been through that intersection and traffic moves at a pretty good clip. It could have been worse. I’m glad you are getting quality care. I’m praying for your speedy and complete recovery. If I can be of any help, please let me know. I’m only 1/2 hour away from Lansing and probably 40 minutes from Eaton Rapids.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon.
ReplyDeleteWhere was your auto-inflating protective bubble suit when you needed it?
(A) good on'ya, for recognizing/applauding the doobies (as in, the worker bees, that get stuff done). Particularly when you are, in all likelihood, hurting, a bunch.
ReplyDelete(B) I hope that your fractures are not anywhere near as gnarly as they appear.
(C) If you beak a rib, BENEATH your shoulder blade, well, you were on the receiving end of a BUNCH of energy. Hope you dodged other, commonly associated, injuries.
Gnarly is an adjective many of the medical people used.
DeleteThe intake report stated 35 mph impact but I think they were parroting the posted speed.
Based on elevation of breaks the driver had laid on the brakes soon enough to pitch the vevicle's nose downward 3 or 4 inches which was very, very much to my advantage.
Regarding rib, I think it was caused by top of windshield frame as I rolled/skated over hood and up windshield.
DeleteIt is a huge blessing there was no head or neck involvement with the vehicle.
