I am back in Eaton Rapids.
In general, the doc was satisfied with my progress but wants one more week of no-weight on the broken bones.
She went to medical school. I did not. I paid for the medical advice through my insurance premiums. I will abide by her advice.
Zeus was happy to see us.
That is going to be quite a scar. You need to make up some good stories for when you are sitting in bars in Florida wearing shorts. Could be a lot of free beer for you. ---ken
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are home and mending well.
ReplyDeleteIt's almost always more comfortable to be at home so that's good. On a tangent a while ago there were comments regarding dyes and IR visibility. There is a tube video that may be of interest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4nmuJ2G6As I found this of some interest, maybe you will too.
ReplyDeleteTattoo of a gator with the stitches lining up along the scale plate on its back. Tail towards the ankle legs wrapped around the calf and the mouth inching up to... never mind.
ReplyDeletePolimath
Glad you are back home and healing ERJ (and listening to medical advice).
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you're back home and mending well!
ReplyDeleteMy little brother got hit head on in his 55 Ford F100 at the top of a hill . Leg wrapped around the steering wheel and multiple breaks . The open wounds refused to heal despite the most advanced and destructive to his immune system antibiotics the doc could pour into him . After 8 years of festering open wounds the doc told him he would have to take off the leg . Little Bro said fu and went down to the university to get a new doc . The kid fresh out of med school gave him a bottle of raw local honey and told him to paint the wounds morning and night . Within a month the open wounds were all scabbed over and healing nicely. Phil still has his leg .
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your wound healing well. You will have a cool scar to show during 'check out THIS wound', easily hidden but also accessible without pulling down your pants. That to me is a good scar, lol.
ReplyDeleteDoctors diagnose, nurses heal. Don't be shy about asking their advice about products which promote healing. I 2nd Mr. Orians advice - I responded well to Manuka honey, a bit expensive but it helped my leg wound (weeping clear liquid was the pits man !) healing time speed up quickly. Our house little kitty kat bit me and introduced deep tissue infection where hyperbaric air chamber was required to completely heal. She is still around, sniffing that leg to see if it needs a 2nd dose.
Hope good news continues to come your way - thanks for the update.
So you have won your last "Miss Legs Contest" ...
ReplyDeleteWow! That one makes me gasp. You are one gnarly dude. Factorial *Blessing10!*
ReplyDeleteThat's a nasty one all right. Best wishes for a full recovery. Take your time.
ReplyDeleteYikes
ReplyDeleteThat looks like one of those "Hold my beer!" scars.
