Ooops!

Broken rib beneath right shoulder blade. Lacerations on head and contusions in all the wrong places.

Hit by a motor vehicle from behind.

  2. Very sorry to hear that.
I have seen so many accidents, some people shouldn't be allowed to operate machinery.
    Get better. Get even.

  3. only time was ever in an auto bang up we were t-boned. After the guy hit us he slammed his car into reverse backed up 20-30 feet then came over to check if we were ok saying they should have a stop sign on that street. I said they do,it's under your car when you backed up you ran over it.

  6. That compound fracture tib/fib in the calf region looks rough. Surgery/pins likely required. Sorry you got hit, curious to hear the backstory once you're all healed up. What a time to be a bachelor w/ Mrs. ERJ on the road!

    2. Corner of Marsh and Grand River
I was on northwest corner southbound.

Either she was westbound on Grand River and I did not see her or she had been a outbound on Marsh and blew, through the right turn on red without stopping.

  9. ERJ, so sorry for such a rotten thing to happen to you. I got busted up in a car wreck when I was 20. Back and pelvis. I am now 61 and now they have come back to remind me that they were always there watching and waiting.
I will be praying, and hoping you have a safe and uneventful recovery. And my best to your family, also.

  20. I see in your photo what I incorrectly identify as an "inspirometer". Rib problems cause shallow breathing which lead to other problems. Frequent puffing into the device help head off some lung problems. I suspect my wife might not have had the problems she had when she came down with covid if she had had said device when she hurt her ribs trying to pull on the biggest turkey in the frozen food bunker at the store.

  21. Damn, that doesn't look like fun. Sorry to hear, but be grateful it wasn't worse. One of my coworkers husbands was hit by a hit and run driver while riding bicycles, killing his companion and leaving him in hospital for three weeks.

    I hope you recover quickly.

  22. Wish you were closer brother so I could bring the Grandkids over and help take care of the garden for you . We started them out when they first started walking just like the Amish do their kids and they think it's fun to pull more weeds than Papa & Nana . Prayers for your quick and complete healing .

  26. Been an X ray tech for 45 years.....and that's an impressive fracture.
Looks like a candidate for an external fixation device. You'll be able to predict the he weather with that leg in the future.
