Some regions are more woke than others, neither attack would be tolerated in my area of Texas. Here, cops are more valuable than celebrities, but in California or another woke place, celebrities are more valuable than cops.
That said, celebrities or "influencers" are above police in the globalist pecking order and an assault on a celebrity is the greater offense against the rulers. One celebrity has far more social sway than one cop, making them a higher value to power. Police and low rank military are simply a lower ranked class in the structure of social power.
The bulk of police and military ranks can be replenished from the underclass; countless people trying to get a better life. Maintaining this underclass is beneficial to the power structure. While a celebrity can come from the underclass too, making a new one takes a greater investment of resources.
