If the Progressives who seem to dominate "fact checking" have been documented as claiming that conservatives are stupid and mentally ill
and if the American Disabilities Act requires that people with stunted mental abilities and emotional disabilities be offered "reasonable" accommodations in the public sphere
then how can a social media platform that makes material viewable to the general public censor conservatives.
I can totally see it if they have a pay-to-view policy for every set of eyeballs, but if I can type a person's name into a search engine and the social media outlet offers me (a non-registered user) a page filled with photos and personal information (like city of residence), doesn't that sound like the "public sphere".

I will no longer make sport of Joe Biden.
My sense is that people who are sitting-on-the-fence, people we NEED to come over to our side are starting to see our ruthless mocking of Biden's declining mental ability as being cruel and being the equivalent of mocking an eight-year-old child with Down's Syndrome.
While it may be momentarily satisfying to harpoon Biden, my goal of a saner, less radical group in Congress and the White House will be better served by gentle invitations to "just think about it" than by rubbing supporter and fence-sitters' noses in the mess.
This is not about my getting joy by smacking folks on the other side. It is about achieving the mission.
Get back to me when an 8 year old with Downes is running America into the ground.
ReplyDeleteApproaching this like a salesperson who needs to maximize sales, you are already sold on the need to replace Biden and his henchmen.
DeleteThe fence-sitters, the easiest ones to tip our way, are not responsive to that message or they would have already tipped. That means that they do not believe Joe Biden is actually running the show but his middle-management team is. And they must be OK with that because they accept it.
The place to stick the tip of the lever and the fulcrum to react it against is that the polices enacted by middle-management are having exactly the opposite effect from what MOST Americans want. And they refuse to re-evaluate and adjust course. They insist on merrily sailing over the waterfall.
The way to change the fence-sitters minds is to stop focusing on all of Biden's shortcomings. Yes they are real, but they are a distraction from the meat-and-potato issues that will win fence-sitters over to the side of sanity and individual freedom.
I don't disagree with you. I am saying that the "Joe Biden is an idiot" meme is played out and will not win any more converts.
What decline in mental ability. Biden is at the top of his game: google about when he sold his driveway, or any Johnny Carson monalogue that mentions him!
ReplyDeleteSanity and congresscritters? Good luck with that... sigh
ReplyDeleteI respect your decision to no longer mock old-whats-his-name.
ReplyDeleteIt fits right in with the toughest teaching I have come against, love one another as I have loved you.
The ideology represented by old-whats-his-name? His team-mates? The anti-fa?
The toughest teaching I ever heard of, indeed. Love them.
I see your point about Joe but what about Hunter? --ken
ReplyDeleteDo you remember Harry Reid, Leader of the Senate and Democratic Senator from Nevada?
DeleteDo you remember when he supposedly "Fell while working out on a treadmill"? Everybody who looked at his injuries assumed his business associated decided he needed a tune-up. I mean, really, how do you get two black eyes falling while walking on a treadmill?
Hunter's business associates are a hundred times more ruthless than Reid's.
I expect the problem to be self-correcting.
Interesting thought. I hope you are right. --ken
DeleteWe will work together ...to work together as we continue to work , heh . My sense of humor will not be subdued . I have laughed with an eight year old with Downs but never at one . It only bows to decency and honor .
ReplyDeleteJoe, you are projecting your feelings onto others. Those people we NEED are on the wrong side because they fear being mocked and not liked. They aren't going to be changed by anything other ruthless shunning and mocking directed at them. I guess you're half right: we need to mock them more than Biden, but mocking Biden is an essential part of that.
ReplyDeleteWhen supporting Diaper-boy stops being the safe, easy path, they'll stop supporting Diaper-boy.
Hmmmm. Interesting thought, but making fun of Joe for being incompetent is the same as making fun of Hillary for being evil: both are mean, but both are true. In the end, truth sells.
ReplyDeleteI doubt there are very many people in America who are still "on the fence". And ridicule is one of the KEY tools that THEIR Cloward Piven strategy calls highly effective. So if they aren't happy about their Clown Prince...and I emphasize CLOWN... being mocked than tough sh*t. The left and their minions really DO NOT care what anyone that isn't on their side thinks, believes or wants. All they care about is that we allow them to continue getting away with their criminal activities and assaults on our freedoms.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that blaming Biden for attempting to be an 80 year old as leader of this country does not make sense. Biden was inserted into office because 'Anybody But Trump' thought but could no way gain votes with Progressive tendencies was going to win. I don't think many think Biden is behind the legislation - too many Democrats are too willing to accept 'Emergency Powers' to prevent future blame on themselves for voting for them.
ReplyDeleteBlaming a person for their age makes no sense.
ERJ, you are absolutely right. Biden should not be the target. He does nothing anyway; he is merely a cardboard facade for the really evil powers who run the Democrat party. The right strategy is to destroy the puppet masters behind him.
ReplyDeleteThe ones that get mad at Joe Biden are the same ones that yell at the television. They're dopes. Joe Biden didn't win the Presidency, all the people prodding him along on this pathetic path did. Get mad at them for what they've done to the country. And then do something useful: Persuade 10 people to vote, who wouldn't otherwise.
