I had one of those conversations with the Captain, "If we really were as smart as we keep telling our kids we would...."
In this case it was come up with a way to back-feed each other's fence in the event that one of the chargers failed.
We agreed upon a place where our fences were 60' apart.
I ran the wire 12' up in the trees so I would not find the hot wire with my face.
If you squint, you can see the ladder I used to place insulators up in trees. |
The clamps on the end are ordinary, locking pliers. I made a pigtail for the pliers with a short run of copper wire and a few washers.
We may never use the capability but it gives piece-of-mind to have it in place, ready to go.
Very nicely done work around!
