Five-and-a-half-inches of rain in the last 48 hours.

The weather radar has been goofy. I will hear the rain pounding on the roof and I will look at the radar to see when we have a lull coming. The radar will not show any rain for twenty miles. The radar presumably updates every ten minutes.

    That's about the right cycle, unless you're looking at Doppler radar, that updates every sweep.

      I don't know about the great white north, but here in the south, every tv weather station has Doppler Radar.

    Yeah
    Down here in the Sandhills of Carolina the Doppler weather radar is accompanied by the weather person calling out the names of the mobile home parks in the path
