More gobbly-gook from the Transgender industry

Transgenders and GD people consistently rate their isolation as twice as high as objective, academically accepted metrics suggest.
 Data

Additionally, our data indicate that transgender and gender diverse people, who have undergone gender reassignment surgery feel lonelier. To our knowledge, this is the first study analyzing the levels of loneliness and social isolation in operated transgender and gender diverse people.

Interestingly, our study also showed that transgender and gender diverse people, who are unmarried were characterized by higher levels of loneliness, and those who were unemployed were characterized by higher levels of perceived social isolation.

The prevalence rates should also be seen in the light of a potential positive marginality. For example, adopting a marginalized identity can improve the life of transgender and gender diverse people by increasing their self-confidence, positive body image, and sense of serenity. Moreover, belonging to a minority group can facilitate the development of meaningful relationships with others

I must be missing some subtle nuance. Their data shows that post-"affirming procedures" that the victims of the surgery report higher levels of loneliness and social isolation and are presumably at higher risk for suicide and other maladaptive responses. Furthermore, the ones who are "in a relationship" also report higher levels. Yet the authors of the study suggest that adopting those measures will increase their self-confidence, positive body image and sense-of-serenity.

All while contradicted by their own data.

  1. Is not engaging in anything "trans-something" indicative of some degree of mental "issues"? Would those people be better helped, and eventually happier, by pursuing counseling to deal with those "issues" rather than transforming their entire being, and, by extension, some amount of their reason for living, and most, if not all, of their interpersonal associations, into "something" so radically different?

And, outside of all that, who among the (supposedly) fully sane members of society would seek out or eagerly pursue an interpersonal relationship with someone so "out of the norm" that they have so radically transformed themselves?

I see a lot of "self inflicted wound" in all this, none of which will end well. For them or society.

    1. There are several states who require counseling before surgery, especially for minors - this part of what proponents fight as "anti trans", "bigotry", etc.

  2. Its how you know we're being gas-lit about the topic... not only is the very premise non-sensical, the data doesn't back it up (like global warm.., I mean climate change), and when you try to engage in a serious scientific debate you're shouted down instead of engaged.

  3. This has to be laying the ground wirk to establish the 'need' for the coming guidelines promulgated by the Federal Lonliness Advisory Board. (Hint: it is 'advisory' in name only.)

See, your very being, even your thoughts, are part of the social infrastructure. Fedgov is to maintain infrastructure. Ergo, you are under the auspices of fedgov in new and exciting ways you've never dreamed of.

Stella Morabito writes about this extensively.

  4. The study doesn't mention that these people were lonely, depressed, and isolated before they considered transitioning - in fact, in many cases they transitioned BECAUSE they were told it would help them and relieve those problems. (Hint: it didn't because it can't).
