If you talk to a Liberal and keep drilling, you will learn that their visceral dislike of Trump is at least partially based on the historical example of Hitler. Hitler was populist cult-figure who catapulted to power because the Deep State assumed they could control him. They were wrong. Hitler ruthlessly disposed of those who assumed they could strong-arm him. (Almost sounds like Arkancide.)
If you talk to a Conservative, you will learn that their visceral dislike of Biden is at least partially based on the historical example of the doddering, elderly Mao Tse-tung and his politically ruthless wife Jiang Qing. Mao was the puppet and Jiang was the hand up his backside. Of course, it was not just Jiang Qing. It was a cadre of political players who used Mao's political capital to leverage their own political agendas.
One notable difference between the Hitler-Trump comparison is that Hitler was 44 years-old in 1933 (a pivotal year in Hitler's political trajectory) while Trump was 74 in 2020. Trump would never be able to capitalize much on a thousand-year Reich.
On the other hand, Mao Tse-tung was 76 at the start of the Chinese Cultural Revolution and Biden was 78 in 2020. That is so close as to be a little bit weird.

I think most people do not know Jiang Qing's name. But I think most people who have studied the totalitarian train-wrecks of the past 100 years are aware that Mao's wife was running the train after 1960.
