Red is a color. A line is a geometric shape. Credible threats are exactly that. Credible (believable) conditions/prognostications. If A happens, then B & maybe C,D & E also happen.
For example: pirating mini key lime pies leads to... B, maybe C & D B could be a mock beating. C could be cut off from desserts. D could be a dessert desert.
