Every $11 billion in spending adds $100 of debt per household

Hat-tip Dad's Deadpool for the meme
There are about 110 million households in the United States.

Every $11 billion in deficit spending adds $100 of debt per household.

$91 billion in debt adds about $800 of debt per household.

Congratulations, America: You now have a credit-card with an $800 balance on it that will never be paid off. Instead, you (and your children and grandchildren) will be making minimum payments on it into perpetuity.

And you did not even get a tee-shirt.

  1. Its a wonder more Americans don't stand outside with pitchforks and rope?
Seriously, that'd make a nice protest group. No signage, no slogans, no banners, no nothing. If you show up to protest you bring a pitchfork, or a 13 foot long piece of rope, and nothing else.
Organizers to source and supply for a boiling vat of pitch.

  2. It is not real to anyone anymore, ERJ. Just numbers on a screen - until someone else comes to collect the bill. Then it will be very real indeed.

  3. On the upside, we are helping hand Russia it's ass even as they massively outnumber and outgun the Ukrainians without risking any American soldier's lives on the battlefield.

Money in place of lives is a good thing, and money and weapons systems it supplies is letting a much smaller force not just stymie but even defeat a much larger one.

So, while it is expensive, it's likely on net rather positive and arguably in our strategic interest to see Russian expansionism checked.

The interesting part is how much of the $91 billion is actually going to Ukraine and how much is being skimmed off the top for the Big Guy or for other interests while claiming it is going to Ukraine.

Even worse, the 91 billion is peanuts compared to Biden's 1.4 trillion spending bill that went to favored leftist causes and was actively harmful for America without any true benefit.

    1. Maybe if we were NOT USING Ukraine as the Money Laundering system for DC we'd NOT BE THERE anyway.

Also, a little problem with Biological Labs funded by Dr. Fasci over there. Sure, nothing BAD in there. ALL Innocent just like the COVID.

Seems MOST of that 91 million has never made it to Ukraine aside from Zelenski's bank accounts.

But go ahead keep poking that Bear with nukes.

    3. Aaron, I think the $91 Billion versus $1.4 trillion are just two faces of the same coin. The same justification for the spend in Ukraine could be used by some beneficiary of each and every dollar of the $1.4 trillion budget.

We need to get out of the business of funding anything for any reason, and especially funding things we do not have the money to pay for at all.

  5. Isn’t there an algorithm to block these ads about how much money they made? Kind of annoying seeing them.
