That was a relief.
We owed additional Federal taxes. Many people wait until the last day before filing when they owe money. I just wanted to get it done. Sometimes life starts speeding up and I wanted that task off the list.
The good news is that our medical costs went down. In 2015 we paid over $13K in "medical". In 2016 we were slightly over $8K.
The other news was that close review of my spending habits showed that I spent slightly over $700 in restaurants for 2016. That is a little under $60 a month. There is still room for improvement but I am very OK with that level of spending. The biggest restaurant bills were when I had a couple of teenagers with me. Go figure.
