Eaton Rapids in the news

 According to M-Live:

Name Redacted, a residential contractor based in Eaton Rapids, allowed workers within six feet of one another when it was feasible to work six feet apart, did not require face coverings for people fewer than six feet apart, did not have a COVID-19 preparedness and response plan and had other violations. The company was fined $6,400.

MIOSHA, which regulates workplace safety in Michigan, issued the citations under the “general duty” clause requiring employers to provide workplaces free from recognized hazards causing or likely to cause death or physical harm. The citation carries a fine of up to $7,000.

“The MIOSHA investigations determined that these six employers were clearly not taking the appropriate steps to protect employees and their communities from the spread of COVID-19,” MIOSHA Director Bart Pickelman said in a press release.
Eaton County has population of approximately 110,000 and 9 deaths have been officially been attributed to Covid-19 in 2020.

I talked to one small-business owner. He was distressed that MIOSHA seems to be making up on-the-fly what must be in COVID-19 preparedness plan. "How can they fine people for not having what they haven't defined?"

"Maybe it is perfectly clear in their minds but I am up at 4:30 in the morning reading emails and hitting the rack at 9:00 PM. I don't have time to make stuff up that MIGHT make them happy."

  1. More proof that the person who first thought of government should have been quietly strangled by the members of his tribe before his horrible secret go out.

  2. Gov. Whitler has figured out how to make up for the poor tax collections.

  3. And in better news, from Huntington, Indiana- a local restauranteur posted a sign warning those that might enter- "Our staff DOES NOT wear masks" blah, blah blah; and the governor's RECOMMENDATION is not practiced here.

And the duly elected sheriff months ago stated that his deputies would not be enforcing the governor's recommendations.

Seems like Michiganders need a whitmer version of the Whisky Rebellion up there. MIOSHA would be a good choice for chapter one of that book.

DEATH TO TYRANTS as some dood named Franklin used to say.
