Jumanji: Non-Playing Characters

"Hello little lady. What are you doing out here all alone?"
You can stop playing the clip at the 1:20 mark.

I was able to stay awake for the first movie one but not the second.

I had to laugh when this scene came up. The guards are "non-playing characters" or NPC in game-speak.

In this scene the red-head character is a stone-cold, killing machine playing character. The person playing the character (in real life) is a wall-flower girl who is very shy around boys. She attempts to engage them by flirting.

She is not successful.  The only dialog the guards are programed for is "Hello little lady. What are you doing out hear all alone?"

It reminds me of a frustrating conversation I had with a Progressive. Their response to every point I attempted to make was "Covid-19 would not have been a problem if we had embraced Bernie Sanders' Medicaid for All."

Pointing out that the US hospitals would be broke in a matter of months if they depended solely on Medicaid reimbursements elicited "Covid-19 would not have been a problem if we had embraced Bernie Sanders' Medicaid for All."

Pointing out that some segments of US society are distrustful of the medical profession because of the history of performing experiments on them elicited "Covid-19 would not have been a problem if we had embraced Bernie Sanders' Medicaid for All."

I think you get the picture.

  1. Yeesh. Ask them how well socialized medicine handled Covid19 in Italy, Spain, or Belgium under their version of "medicare for all".

The answer: Not well at all.

    Hardly not a problem.
