A dewy morning

Young grape leaf collecting dew. Cv: Steuben
An older grape leaf. V. riparia
Partridge Pea
Seed ball on garlic.  Cv: German White
Sunflower ripening seeds.  It is easy to see why they tip down like that.
Elderberry.  Mostly picked over by birds.
A branch of Kerr apple.

Trailman apple

A few clusters of grapes.
Maximilian sunflowers duking it out with weeds.

  1. I'm always amazed by sunflowers, in particular how heavy the blooms are once the seed is mature. Heavier than a dinner plate! It's amazing the stalks hold up as well as they do. My biggest problem are the deer, who prefer tender sunflower leaves to virtually everything else on offer.
