    I wonder if it is as tasty as Mrs. Douglas' "Hot Water Soup" on Green Acres? I was glad to learn that recipe when I was in college.

    My mother (born in 1927) told us about going into a diner and ordering a cup of hot water, and using the ketchup, salt, and pepper to create "tomato soup."
