It was a cold and windy day

The fig cuttings stuck in early February show signs of rooting. I moved them to a window sill and am contemplating what the next 18 cuttings will be.

Today was an unpleasant day from the standpoint of weather. Wind-chills in the single digits (and now we pause for a moment while readers in Alaska roll on the floor laughing).

It is not so much the absolute value of the wind-chill. It is the fact that just a few days ago I was walking around in shorts and a tee-shirt.

The wind velocity makes ladder and in-the-woods work unwise.
