Here we go again

The population pyramid for the USSR in 1950. The dark red illustrates the "surplus women" by age. There was regional variation with some areas having three women for every two guys.
Same play. Third act.

We had WWI and the Revolution. Then we had WWII. Now we have Ukraine and Russia duking it out once again tipping the demographics heavily toward increasing the woman-to-man ratio.

The internet is strangely silent on how the lopsided demographics impacted Soviet society. One can find far more information about the impacts on society in male-heavy India and Com-China.

We can speculate that the result was not the peaceful nirvana that some Feminist visualize. For one thing, the birthrate skyrocketed after WWII ended...for both married and unmarried women. That suggests that men were less faithful than before and that their wives did not toss them out of the house for straying from the marital bed.

One could also speculate that even less-desirable specimens of manhood were able to find female companionship. For the weak-of-character, why shave, stay sober or brush your teeth if you were going to "get lucky" regardless?

Something about markets and supply and demand.

Of course, I could be TOTALLY wrong.

I am expecting a mass exodus of Feminists as they book flights to Ukraine and Moscow to personally experience the paradise that a large majority of women will inevitably create.

  1. Or... they can come here. Plenty of incel men in their 20's and 30's would treatment as goddesses.

  2. We have a friend from over there who is now a widow. She says there are lots [millions] of young women over there who have signed up to be mail-order-brides. ---ken

  3. I think the that overage is right along the times when Russian military mishaps were happening, i.e. Kursk, 'Kraine, A-stan, the little dust-up in Kahzakistan, and of course we need genuine Russians to fill out our own beloved Russian Mob here in the good old USofA!

  4. I have a co-worker who recently married a Ukrainian. He used Morton's to find her and raves about the difference between her and his first wife.

  5. i found similar in post war bosnia. the women were in competition for the few available men, dying their hair crazy colors etc. the men were cocky and took much advantage of the situation.
