The Infinite Monkey Theorem and Obamacare

A little quick math to wake up the brain cells this morning.

The text of H.R. 3590 (aka, the Affordable Care Act, aka, Obamacare) has approximately 380,000 "words" in it.

Using the Infinite Monkey Theory, an estimate of the probability that the document was derived via random chance is:

Chance = (52 letters (26 lower case and 26 upper case) + 10 numbers + 10 punctuation and special characters)^(5 letters per word * 380,000 words)

Probability = approximately one in  72^1,900,000

-or in base 10-

Probability = approximately one in 10^3,500,000, or in rough terms, 1 chance divided by the number of neutrons and protons in the sun.

Conclusion

Obamacare was not random chance.

Depending on one's ideology and/or socioeconomic station in life, one can accept Obamacare as either proof there is a devil or proof there is a God.  If you are lucky enough to be schizophrenic then you can accept it as proof of both.
