Stanford Prison Experiment

Does anybody else feel like we are living through a remake of the Sanford Prison Experiment, writ large?

For those who might not remember, the Stanford Prison Experiment was an experiment conceived to test the power of labels.

Part of the novelty of the experiment was its design. Volunteers were gathered in the usual way, that is, through an ad in the student newspaper with the promise to pay some nominal amount.

The volunteers gathered at the appointed time and place. BUT, the major professor was called away for a family emergency at the last moment so a flunky ran the meeting.

"The start of the experiment is delayed for an unknown amount of time. The only thing I can do is assign roles. Line up by height...

Prisoner
Prisoner
Prisoner

Guard
Prisoner
Prisoner
Prisoner

Guard....

We will contact you when the Professor is available to start the experiment"

This experiments' results were so corrosive and damaging that it was considered unethical to replicate.

Until, seemingly, the 2020s:

"Oppressed
Oppressed
Oppressed

Oppressor
Oppressed
Oppressed
Oppressed

Oppressor..."

  1. The fascinating thing to me about this whole affair of the last several years, is what you see in those venn diagrams with huxley and orwell overlappjng with goebbels and marx. Its like whoever is at the helm is very well read and versed in every facet thats ever been written about.
Wonder if they sic'ed AI on making a plan to take over the world? Maybe thats why that one yuval dude is all convinced we will be rid of useless eaters and live in pod cities run by intelligent devices.

  3. SPE just proved man's inhumanity to man is extant in ANY and EVERY body... And that absolute power can and will corrupt individuals.

  4. Yes, This ^^^

It's been said "if you're not a communist by 16 you have no heart, if you're a communist at 40 you have no brains."

The ideals sound good but man's inhumanity proves time and time again that Power Corrupts and Absolute Power corrupts absolutely.

Thus, the mass slaughters "for the Communist Utopia".

I wonder who's going to write up the history of the Fall of Rome 2.0 NEW and Improved with Wokeism and Wi-Fi!!

  5. The Sanford Experiment revealed that humans are deeply flawed. So does Communism...the basis for what we are seeing happening right now.
