Belladonna back to college

Belladonna went back to college yesterday.  She drove the Malibu.

Gold star near left side of image shows approximate location of Allendale, Michigan.  They get much lake-effect snow.  Green star is approximate location of Eaton Rapids.

The Malibu has new Firestone Winterforce snow tires in the front.  An oil change (Reminder to self:  Next oil change at 220K).  A tire pressure gauge and maybe one or two other enhancements.

She also took a new electric blanket.  Her room has a cold air return but not hot air outlet.  I wonder if they carpeted it over.

We met some family at Meat!  a few nights ago.

Belladonna instantly recognized the waiter.  She had been his waitress at a restaurant in Grand Rapids on New Year's Eve.

She tipped him outrageously.  He did an outstanding job being our waiter.  Perhaps he knew he was being judged by a fellow professional.  Bella wrote on the receipt, "I wanted to treat you as well as your family treated me."

If you are swinging through Lansing and need a place to eat, I highly recommend Meat!  The food is outstanding, the prices are reasonable, the ambiance is causal/cozy (about 1600 square-feet dining area) and the wait staff has Belladonna's seal of approval.  But you best go early if you don't want to wait in line.
