Old age is when you run out of gas before your chainsaw does.
I had one of those quick, over-the-fence conversations with the Captain this morning. Based on mortality data, if buying a handgun requires a three day waiting period then one should have to wait a week to buy a ladder or a chainsaw.
Even more lethal are beds and toilets. Most people die in bed. Close behind are people who die atop the bathroom stool. Those items should require a one month waiting period.
Except in California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and District of Columbia. If they cannot be trusted with handguns then they should never be allowed to sleep in a bed or poop sitting down.
