For thousands of years... The history books were (generally) written by the winners because the losers were gone...dead, enslaved & assimilated or the survivors just left to try and make someone else the loser.
Took me, embarrassingly too long to figure out it was all lies. Any incidental truth, is only there to enhance the "Narrative".

Recorded history is seldom what really happened. Human error, bias and deliberate misrepresentation all make reported history suspect...at best.
Readers who are willing to comment make this a better blog. Civil dialog is a valuable thing.
