At last. A video that showcases why it is great to be an MSU Spartan

All too often, video footage of MSU Spartans makes us look like unsophisticated hicks. Frankly, I think it is pure, Grade-D envy of our gitter-done attitude and the gorgeous women (like Mrs ERJ) who attended MSU.

It is with great pleasure that I share this video of this lovely lass and her recipe for Himalayan Venison*. Four-and-a-half minute runtime.

Himalayan Venison ===> I found him-a-layin' in the ditch

    1. It is best if you can get a deer that was killed with a "head shot". Much less mess and more usable meat.

  3. I have done this many times when we lived in the mountains. Winter kills are great, they'll freeze overnight. I only did it with deer I hit or saw hit or I knew had not been there the day before.

  4. Where I went to school in W.PA a deer wasn't done twitching before it was in the back of someone's car or truck.

  5. "Himalayan Venison ===> I found him-a-layin' in the ditch" for some reason, unexpected. Fortunately I was not mid sip on my coffee. Roger

  6. This kind of happened to me. I shot a deer right at dusk and we couldn't find it in the dark. Went out the next morning and found it about 10 yds into the grass in front of the tree line. It was around freezing all night and a light snow had fallen. Dressed him out and took him to the processor. He said he didn't want to do it because it smelled pretty spoiled. I was surprised since it had been cold. A friend of mine (who has a degree in animal science from MSU and has studied such things) said that the leftover body heat keeps the bacteria in the gut active, and that's why it smelled bad. It will be interesting what this young lady does to offset that, especially since she mentioned an odor.
