Never give up

Picture from HERE

Eaton Rapids pulled out a come-from-behind victory in football yesterday.  As reported by MLive

James Cruz made the biggest play in what could be argued the biggest game in the history of Eaton Rapids football, and in many ways, it changed more than a single game.

Cruz's 41-yard interception return with about two minutes remaining in Eaton Rapids' Division 4 district final against Battle Creek Harper Creek set up the game-winning touchdown,
"We cannot give up," Cruz said. "No matter what the clock says, we can't give up. We have to keep moving forward. We just have to believe in ourselves and just play together as a team and believe in each other."

None of these kids are likely to play football in college.  But they are taking away some great "life lessons":  Never give up, practice hard, have a solid game plan and work the plan until your team is whistled off the field.
