Score!

Hodgdon's Tite Group smokeless powder is a great choice for "mouse gun" reloading.

It is a fast burning, high density powder that flows well.  The part about flowing well is extremely important when measuring out wee mites of powder.

My plan is to reload some .380 ACP with 90 grain, Hornady XTP bullets.  Tite Group does not get top velocities in that application.  Rather, it is very efficient, getting mid-range velocities with low powder charges.  Being able to get the job done with small powder charges minimizes muzzle blast, always an issue when firing from barrels that are two or three inches long.

And $20.99 is a fantastic price for a pound of smokeless powder.

  1. Excellent! I use it for suppressed 9mm and .44 loads too. I love that powder and the price you got it for.
