...shoot the Engineers and go into Production.

There comes a time in every project when it is time to shoot the engineers and go into production.

The plan is to go with a 32" high wall of paneling.

Primer on three-of-the-four walls and the ceiling. The hole in the middle of the ceiling is for the ceiling fan.

  1. The architect comes up with the fantastic plan (sometimes with impossible flights of fancy that defy gravity), the masons give you a fairly square and level foundation, the framers wrestle twisted wood into a semblance of plumb, level and square, the sheetrockers try to make everything look uniform, But YOU, the guy putting the chair rail in the room on the top of the wainscoting, have to make all of their shortcuts and problems disappear and achieve perfection.

    1. That is what the string of Christmas lights flashing on-and-off is for. It distracts the eye.

    2. Just like building a boat, from the plug to the mold to the layup & to putting it together nothing is the same. As long as it looks straight & float's level it's good.

  2. Cove moulding makes the wall --ceiling joint soooo much easier. And it looks good. ---ken
