Yellow jackets? Learned to have my keen eyed son look for stinger remnants. Little pieces of the stinger break off and continue giving poison until you wash or tweez them out. Yellow jackets are lower than red squirrels. Also, a stadium cup of fuel down the hole after dusk takes them out.
Sixty degree day. Sunny. No dew on the grass. Sharp blade. Mower worked better than expected and did not get clogged once. Much better than my expectations.
