Run-time of two minutes.
There was a time when people could disagree and discuss their views without having to water-down their arguments for "feelings".
For the younger readers, this clip is COMEDY.
It boggles the mind that people who can listen to rap and WAP are offended by content like the above.
ERJ, I have noted more than once the phrase "I may not support what you say, but I will defend your right to say it" has not been one I have heard in almost 8 years - I literally can remember the last time I heard it. The fact that this is no longer heard is the reason that comedy is now dead in the United States.
ReplyDeleteThat expression, from Evelyn Beatrice Hall (although sometimes attributed to Voltaire), I haven't heard in some time either. Our current "woke snowflake" environment could use that kind of reality check instead of their perpetual winging about "triggers".
DeleteHahahahaha!! I figured it had to be something from the Original Saturday Night Live.
ReplyDeleteThey are supposedly making a movie that is going to show what went into the making of the first show. I can only wonder how true it will be.
You all be safe and God bless.
That is a classic!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm offended that you put an advisory for the younger viewers.
ReplyDeleteThe fact you point out about the selective outrage proves its all contrived.
ReplyDeleteAs they say, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but there will always be something to offend a feminist".
ReplyDeleteI think the modern butthurt is because it is so much more true now.
