Gowdy to leave Congress and going to S.C.

Photo Sept 2018 from ERJ time machine.
Could be interpreted a few different ways.

  1. Joe, I would be interested in your opinion of Mr. Gowdy's quitting. Greg Gutfield thinks it's because he likes lawyering, and not politics.

    1. Hi Jeb: Thanks for reading and thanks for taking the time to comment.

Gowdy's statement read “Whatever skills I may have are better utilized in a courtroom than in Congress, and I enjoy our justice system more than our political system,” so I think your friend might be right.

  2. Gowdy would have been a good AG rather than that political hack Sessions. Supreme court would be even better. One lesbian down and two to go. We can only hope.

  3. What I like most about Trey Gowdy is that he slices through specious arguments like a heat-seeking missile and latches ahold of the core issues like a pitbull.

The Supreme Court sets precedent that is looked to by the entire country. Precedent should not be founded on the shifting kaleidoscope of smoke, mirrors and fashion but on written law and traditional mores of justice.
