Kubota is a Liberal 8-(

It gives me little joy to report that Kubota is a Liberal.

Many observers of human nature have observed that a young man who is not a liberal has no heart and a mature man who is not a conservative has no brain.

House breaking

Kubota got it into his head that he is doing a fine thing by letting Zeus out of his crate in the middle of the night.  We wake up to multiple piles of poop and puddles of pee in the morning.

About half the time we force Kubota to clean it up.  He is currently on crutches so we are not holding his feet to the fire in this regard...although the mobility restrictions of the crutches have not restricted his letting Zeus out of the crate.

My heartburn of the issue would be far less intense if Kubota took the next logical step and put Zeus on the line outside or even if Kubota stood in the doorway for three, timed minutes and watched Zeus do his puppy business.

In a similar manner, Kubota keeps loosening Zeus's collar.  Kubota is absolutely sure he is doing God's work in both cases.

I see a pattern.  Liberals (of the cartoonish sort) are incapable of visualizing the next logical step.  The same kind of Liberals also seem to either be incapable of visualizing natural and logical consequences of their actions -or- they have issues with authority.

One side effect of enterprises that are too big and too specialized is that it supports the fantasy that "somebody else" is responsible.  I have yet to see an org chart with a box for "Some Body".  I believe that is why large enterprises (like big cities) create the most buffoonish of Liberals.  It is easy to hide consequences.  The fantasy of  "Sombody" else being responsible takes on a life of its own.

The only consolation I can take from these difficulties in housebreaking Zeus are the proof that Kubota has a heart.  There is still time for him to demonstrate he has a brain.
