It does read a little more cleanly that way.
ReplyDeleteMy preference is to leave a little bit more rather than a little less context. My readers are smart. You guys can trim it down to make it more usable for everyday life.
The Bible was not written for dummies, in part because the only people who could read when the Bible was written were by definition in the top 5% or so of the population.
I believe I have also seen this translated at "cling to the hope".
