The temperature is 44 degrees Fahrenheit. The pavement is dry. I went for a two mile run.
It was my first outside run since late October. It was not pretty.
I lost a lot of condition over the winter. I picked up ten pounds. It would be OK if it were ten pounds of muscle. Sadly, I lost muscle mass and still gained 10 pounds.
I used to have hip bones. I used to have tensor fasciae latae (yes, I had to look that up).
My muscles are "on notice". The vacation is over. Time to step up. My plan is to run every other day and to pick up mileage at a steady clip.
