Karpman Drama Triangle (again)

The author of this article attributes the increase in "drama" to people's increasing perception of the world as a chaotic and dangerous place.

He claims that there are three arch-type characters that offer safety and stability: Persecutor, Victim and Rescuer.

That is different than "seeking status" which is seeking increased social wealth.

I see no flaws with the authors' thinking. It appears that "Drama" benefits from both the Fear and Greed swings of the cycle.

It will crash-and-burn as the costs of operating on an economy-of-drama come to fruition.

Drama burns a lot of bridges.

  1. For many people drama is addictive. Thus they foster it and seek it out whenever possible. Women are especially prone to drama addiction.

    1. I am going to dance, delicately, around this comment.

In general, women are more verbally adept than men and are often more practiced at playing three-dimensional chess to pit one stronger person against another to create a path to what they desire.

Those are skills they have needed, and used, for tens of thousands of years. In general, a woman's toolbox has more of those tools in it, whether by genetic endowment or socialization...I am not sure it matters.

However, exercising of those tools comes at a cost and it limits the up-side for the future.

    2. I would go so far as to postulate a percentage of the current situation between courting men and women is relatable.
Its currently said men aren't chasing after women the way they did in previous generations (I'll just leave that there).

This has secondary effects like birth rate, population growth rate, etc.

In concert with Joe's assertion that women are more adpet and practiced at mental and linguistic gymnastics, men simply don't want to put up with their bullshit.
There is a greater story arc here about the feminization of society and influx of women into (trad male) workplaces, but I'm typing on my mobile.
