It is a class at Eaton Rapids High School. Beginning metals is sheet metal work. Each kid makes a tool box. Advanced metals is intro to machining processes. The learn to read Machinist Handbook and calculate feeds and speeds. They do some milling and maybe a few other metal cutting tools.
WOW- congratulations on your school systems retention of sanity! High Schools have largely done away with anything resembling trades- wood shop, auto shop, metal shop-all gone, mostly.
