  1. Intriguing. The texture of the medium fits well with the subject. Pastoral scenes yet everyone is involved with work.

  2. ERJ, as I see these pictures and the lifespans of all the artists, I think a lot about the changes they had seen and in some ways, that they were painting a world they had known or even been in and had gone forever. The older I get, the more I ponder that sort of thing.
