Narratives matter.
Contrary to the headlines spun by Deep State shills, the peaceful, January 6 protesters were not protesting the "results", they were protesting the process.
They were protesting the wholesale dereliction of duty by politicians and courts. They were protesting the gross "irregularities" and the willful blindness of all parties who were involved in the Constitutionally defined processes in place to ensure integrity.
They were protesting the rush-to-the-finish line after which all points become moot.
They were not protesting the election. They were naively protesting the endemic corruption of the process.
Nicely said. Sums up the situation perfectly; especially the use of the word "naive".

A novel position with which I agree fully but did any defense attorney raise it? Not that it would have done much good since the verdicts/punishments were preordained.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on fair elections when thirty thousand more votes were counted than registered voters, when more than twelve thousand dead people voted, when it was brought out that voter registration had not been cleared in x number of years. Our elections now rival that of Venezuela and Somalia.

When I worked at the polls every two years we sent in list after list of the people who had died or moved out of county or state and every two years nothing changed. Same answer no money to be spent on researchers. We are a Republican state but the county and state workers are the Dem's.
ReplyDeleteThe process where the IBEW union guy was putting up large sheets of cardboard over the viewing windows, after they kicked out the republican poll watchers, yes thats a problem! Did Michigan fix the problem, no they instilled drop boxes and mail in ballots in there constitution, so now there will be no free and fair elections in Michigan. Michigan will become another Illinois or California,that's my prediction. Its a shame .
