  2. Is that a pecan half? You grow pecan in Michigan? I have two beautiful pecan trees in west Texas. Ants don’t get to the pecans before I do. Ha.

    1. That is a pecan half and they were moving it fast enough that it caught my eye.

We can grow pecans in Michigan. I have eight pecan trees lining my driveway and small seedlings volunteering around my place.

The pecans are small and don't crack out easily but they are definitely pecans. I have one grafted cultivar, Canton, but it is in a shady spot and won't do much unless I prune away the tree that is shading it.
