Nine inches of Snow predicted for this weekend

The Keweenaw Peninsula gets a lot of snow.

They are up to 309.6 inches for the year and another 9 inches is predicted for this weekend.

Hang in there, Coyote Ken. August is coming.

  2. ... August?! The mosquito's carry small dogs off to their lais in August.... you have to hit those 36 hours between blackfly season and mosquito season. Thats the nice time of year to live up there.

  3. My good friend lives just north of Calumet. When he texted me yesterday morning, that he was expecting another 6 - 9 inches of snow, I replied "So just a dusting then." Ha! Been a solid winter in the Keweenaw this year.

  4. 30 degrees and sunny with slight breeze and looks like it will warm up above freezing. About 1" of snow last night. It seems that the weather forecasts are getting worse thee past few years. They can't predict with any degree of certainty what time it will be at noon tomorrow. ---ken
