Sir George Clawson born 1852 in London (England) and died in 1944 in the village of Cold Ash, West Berkshire.
Celebrated for capturing images from the end of the peasant/agricultural era in Europe.

ReplyDeleteIt strikes me as I see many of the artists that their lifespans tended to cover vast changes in lifestyle and technology, many of them living from pre or slightly into the Industrial Revolution to the era of industrialization. I think to myself what an experience that must have been - then realize that I, too, am living through the same thing. We had not yet reached the moon and there computers were nothing but bulky room sized models when I was born.
Billy suggested I not miss this post. This is the world I prefer. Thanks for sharing.
