The secret to Facebook's success

Facebook is fabulously success in the marketplace because it gives every sophomore the social advantages of a dog first sniffing around, and then pizzing on every fire hydrant and tree alongside the street.

This insight came to me as Belladonna and I walked Zeus and Hercules in town.  They dragged us from pillar to post.

Do you suppose that is why the sophomore's markings are called "posts"?  One has to wonder.

  3. Interesting concept. I'll have to give that considerable thought.

    1. I am not sure it merits *considerable* thought.

Facebook tapped something primal, something that we lost. Compared to school, the modern workplace is even more isolating.

Even our dogs, who get plenty of opportunities to sniff-and-mark do so with great enthusiasm. No wonder deprived, modern people feel such an urgent need.
