Elise Stefanik impressed me

Representative Stefanik was interviewed by a hostile, partisan "reporter" on NBC's Meet the Press. The entire interview is about 17 minutes long.

Stefanik radiated calmness, poise and control through the entire interview. At times, the Lefty-reporter becomes so outraged that she talks over Stefanik to squelch her.

One point that is easy to overlook is that Stefanik stitched back to her constituency at least three times during the interview. Paraphrasing "I go back to my home district and this is what is causing them pain: The border, the economy, Fentanyl... I represent my district. I work for them. I will carry their fight to wherever it needs to be fought." Refreshing!

With regard to the point that the reporter kept trying to bring up, that Trump hasn't won any of the sixty law-suites he filed in various electoral areas, a commenter on another site claimed that 57 of them were shelved by judges because they said Trump had "no standing". Of the three that have been tried, Trump prevailed in two of them and lost one...according to the commenter on the other site.

Maybe I am stupid, but there is a big difference between "Not winning 60 law suites" and "Not losing 57 of them".

Keep your eye on this young lady. She is the polar opposite of Kamala Harris.

  1. Paladino made comments on a radio show in 2021 praising Adolf Hitler, saying he was "the kind of leader we need today." Stefanik condemned Paladino's remarks but did not withdraw her endorsement.[182] After Paladino called for the execution of Attorney General Merrick Garland, former Republican congresswoman Mia Love called upon Stefanik to rescind her endorsement of Paladino.[183] Stefanik actively campaigned for Paladino, hosting a tele-rally for him the night before the primary. Paladino lost the primary to Langworthy.
    Wow

    1. Sometimes even a blind pig finds an acorn. Can't say I like or dislike Hitler anymore than Biden but one might say they are both (National) Socialist with really bad advisors and sycophants in tow.

    2. Too soon. But those days are coming. Pretending that the old rules still apply, and handicapping yourself by denigrating the people who are fighting for you is just naive or stupid. The federal government no longer represents us.

  2. She impressed me too. Smart, articulate and insightful. I wish we had her here in Michigan for our governor. ---ken

  3. "No standing". One of the lefts favorite legal schemes to short circuit a lawsuit they know they would lose. And the frequency we see it successfully invoked for politically based suits is more evidence of the corruption infesting the judiciary.

  4. Applause for trying, but after the last 7-8 years you honestly still think theres a political solution?
