You only need to watch a minute of this video compiled from single-moms' rants about Tough-love welfare reforms. I scrolled ahead to the vignette that caught my attention. The woman is complaining that she will not be able to buy a house because her food-stamps were reduced. How many couples where both adults work +40hr/week cannot afford to buy a house or have children and yet this woman figures it is owed to her because "...6 daddy-babies". The woman has 8 children from 6 different sperm donors, and yet she thinks the tax-payers should be responsible.
Society gets more of the behaviors that are subsidized. The more times a behavior is reinforced, the more difficult it is to break.
To quote Clarence Darrow "I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure" applies. While I never actively wished any of these women pain, I get deep satisfaction from seeing the playing field start to level out.
Random observation
A statistically significant number of these women seem to lack their upper teeth. Watch their upper lip as they talk.
They're baaaaaack!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should pay them to get spayed. Could save a lot of money and social problems down the line with them and their offspring.. --ken
ReplyDeleteWe as a society have created this mess. In the three or four generations past, there have been a multitude of programs created, mostly to buy votes, that has engendered and encouraged this problem. These people are reacting as anyone would, who have had something taking from them that has been part of their and their parents life. Blame the pushers of the programs as you would the drug dealers getting your kids hooked on whatever is the latest poison.
ReplyDeleteFormer neighbor of mine regarded having more kids as a money-making venture. She also declared she would never get a job because her welfare would be reduced.
ReplyDeleteShe dropped in one day to ask me for a $20 loan. I replied I would be glad to loan it to her after she repaid the $20 she already owed. She stopped coming by. Money well spent.
8 babies……??
ReplyDeleteNo sides, no bottoms.
Talk about throwing a hot dog down a hallway……
I expect everyone to take responsibility for themselves. I wonder how much extra money I would have if I wasn’t taxed for all the programs.
ReplyDeleteBeing handled better now, but at some point we get stuck with another Liberal majority in DC and they allow the policies to go back to the way it was. To be fixed it needs to be GONE for good.
ReplyDeleteThis is a direct result of The civil rights act of 1964, Hart-Celler act of 1965, and the feminist movement.
ReplyDeleteWant this particular behavior to end? Simple. If a pregnant female shows up to ANY hospital to deliver and it's a welfare case then whe is
ReplyDeleteTo finish...she is put under general, the child delivered and the female permanently sterilized. No more kids as a cash crop.
DeleteWe had 7 children, the only one we needed Medicaid for was the one born with a heart defect and died after three days post open heart surgery! We paid for birth, had to have help with the surgery bill? We raised the kids mostly as dairy farm workers with my wife working when the last one was almost in school. The only food stamps we applied for was when Carter put on the milk tax instead of using the market order system and lowering the price of milk because the processors would have been paid less for surplus products. It came partly out of my share of the milk check so I did food stamps for a while. Instead of a side hustle maybe they need to do what they need to do to survive because all the government debt is what’s causing the inflation!!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget, all of her baby daddies are paying support under threat of prison, even if they didn't get a choice in the matter.
