Presented without comment

  1. ERJ, we visited a prison camp/interrogation facility in Cambodia from which almost no-one emerged alive. The Khmer Rouge took meticulous notes and pictures of their victims. As part of the display, there are boards with rows and rows of people at their intake.

More people would benefit from a wider perspective.

  2. I propose that 'real socialism' is a theory that cannot be realized. Once in power they become total dictators which is the plan. TeX

    1. Maybe because Joe the blog owner posted something without His comment?

    2. Editorializing is the enemy of unbiased reporting. I try to be aware of the "leverage" of my position as owner of the blog and not abuse it.

I am strongly in favor of letting the players on the court "play" with minimal input from the officials. I deplore basketball games (for instance) where the officials constantly intrude and interrupt the game for minor infractions. I didn't pay money to watch refs blow whistles.

Yes, I know that I am quirky. I am at peace with that.

  5. I’ll never understand it: everyone hates fascism - so much so that it’s basically illegal. But every second college bubble-gumming bubble-head wears a Che Guevara tee shirt and can recite Karl Marx verbatim. The fuggin Japs killed more innocents than Germans did, and they are valued allies today. The Russians killed millions more - they killed more jews than Hitler did - and they get a pass. The Chinese killed tens of millions more and we buy their cheap crap by the boatload and howl for more. I seriously wonder how the world works sometimes…? Who’s in charge of this chit show?

  6. The 'intellectuals' like those silly children pictured are usually the first to go.

    1. Well, yes! You are absolutely right.

Those intellectuals proved that they have few inhibitions about overthrowing the current government (whoever that might be). They proved that they are a threat. The communists (same-same as socialists), once they are in power, sanitize the fields-of-fire by removing all potential threats that are more than 4 inches tall.

To the communists, the naive intellectuals who expect some kind of loyalty from the new government, those intellectuals get no more consideration than ticks, mosquitoes or bed-bugs.
