Rumor on the street is that Netflix is planning to remake the classic hockey movie Slapshot.
The only major change is that instead of being on ice, it will be of WNBA games where "enforcers" are targeted in take-downs that break their knees.
Pursuant to creating this movie, Netflix bought rights to clips from the last two seasons of WNBA games. Investors are excited because there will be no actors to pay...just a little bit of AI to mortar the game-clips into the story.
