Grab-bag

The "contractor" end of the bathroom remodel is done. It is a relief to have that in the review mirror. The last week had as many as seven vehicles in our driveway as plumbers, electricians, contractors and our own personal vehicles shuffled in-and-out.

I might post pictures if I get permission from SWMBO.

I tried the olives after they had been soaking in brine for three weeks. I changed the brine after the first week and then got busy and forgot to change it again after the second week. I changed the brine a couple of days ago. I tasted one and it has the tiniest traces of bitterness, far less than a cup of black coffee. So that project looks like a winner.

God willing, I will get the grass mowed today.

Bloviating, entitled people

The various social media platforms are hosting videos of people who are angry about having to work 20 hours a week to continue receiving their EBT (food stamps).

Midwest Chick has a sample over at her blog but there are undoubtedly hundreds of them out there.

What the people who make those videos are telling me is that they have never been hungry and are unaware of history.

Now is the time to grid our lions

Things people do when they are hungry

  • Eat their pets
  • Eat mice and rats
  • Eat offal and animal parts that are usually discarded
  • Eat slimy, rotten vegetables
  • Eat dead animals that are decayed and riddled with maggots
  • Eat horse-shit
  • Eat human bodies
  • Eat toxic weeds (the linked article lists the species)
  • Eat dirt and sawdust and fry "pancakes" in motor oil

So when a well-dressed, morbidly obese person tells me that they WILL NOT WORK to fill their bellies or to feed their children, they are lying. They are lying to me but most of all, they are lying to themselves. They will BEG to do disgusting things, things far worse than working, when they are hungry.

They believe that they can create a reality if they shout something long enough and loud enough. That belief has a piss-poor track record and rarely rewards its believers in the long run.

Hand-bags

One of my walking companions this past weekend was telling me that Hermes, a fashion house, has a hand-bag that has a list price of a million dollars.

This one only costs $350,000. What a bargain!

You have to be INVITED to be able to buy one of these bags. Like a high-roller at a casino, you have to run up a large tab at Hermes over several years before you are "allowed" to buy one. According to my walking companion, you don't get to pick the bag. A highly trained staff member will choose it for you like some kind of arranged marriage.

You can say "Yes" and pay for the bag or you can say "No" and you will not be able to buy a bag until you run up your purchasing history back up to the threshold.

Of course there are knock-offs that can be purchased for $60 that are identical in every way except the logo.

DeSantis proposes that Burmese Pythons be turned into hand-bags (and cowboy boots).

Crazy, crazy world.

  1. Bloviating, entitled people

Joe you are talking apples to pineapples here.

Why do I say that? Long suffering mostly farming or near farming SLAVS ate ANYTHING to live another day vs entitled for GENERATIONS Welfare people.

SLAVS that were under near military discipline as in talk shit like that to the police and get a Burp Gun reply for you AND your family. Vs Entitled Welfare Queens and such who were RECENTLY in memory REWARDED for "Mostly Peaceful but Firey Protests" according to CNN. Let alone the "Failure" of the EBT system for less than 48 hours in a couple of states fiasco, where folks just walked out of Walmart's and grocery stores with their carts. No door greeter is going to get hurt stopping them.

SLAVS that worked daily on hard manual labor ALL their lives and their Parents-Grandparents lives just to carry on for one more day. VS those that haven't worked a day in their lives and have been RAISED on Free Shit and angry outbursts if denied.

SLAVS that generally had NO ACCESS to Firearms, let alone the "Giggle switches" on Glocks and seemingly abundant AMMO to have 100's of rounds fired at a minor football dispute several times recently.

    Apples to pineapples Joe.

Now the rest of us that actually work for a living, do that hard stuff clearing apple orchards and caring for our critters look at these Tic Tock videos (after all WE ARE the Intended Audience, you know) and the message seems to be Feed us as you agreed and we don't harm you and yours.

After all the welfare class is a "Protected Class" and self defense against them is "Frowned upon" as in as in They Loot, We Shoot and often WE go to jail and face often liberal prosecutors that seem inclined to make a point against self defense.

It's not limited to blacks (although all the vids I've seen were), trash people who live on welfare for generations are not just going to shrug and say "well it was good while it lasted" shoulder a shovel and report to menial hard work for a few hours for their once Free Gibs.

Your well researched historical data was from a Different Era where welfare Didn't EXIST and being on the dole was SOMETHING to be Ashamed about.

Side note Political. Shutdown was about Trump saying NO to Illegals free welfare. Discrediting Trump with riots from "Poor Starving" people with BABIES is a TOOL for socialist-democrats.

They think like the Telsa burning riots to harm an Ally of Trump that the favorable media reports against MAGA self defense and poor single moms with BABIES starving is going to cripple or destroy Trump.

    Theres a Bad Moon Rising.

  2. ERJ - I had seen several of the emotionally charged and reactive videos by those who have suggested they will not forego any lifestyle changes due to loss of public benefits being suspended, as well as the expectation that they work some ‘minimal’ time to earn these. I have a very difficult time processing the thought of [most] of these types actually providing any type of value to most any business, almost certainly not equalizing the effort, energy, spent capital costs and pain borne upon they business owner to offset theoretical gains…I cannot envision any one of these individuals being productive enough at any task to have a net positive gain for an organization. They will be financial drags that will need constant attention and direction and siphon resources that punch well above any expected output value or quality. And certainly, they would remain a protected class that could not be terminated = liability. I also could not envision [any that I have viewed] as being worthy enough to be involved with direct customer service. I’m unsure of what the solution(s) should be, but it is patently clear that decades of this system has not only perpetuated the ‘gimmdats’ and “ya’lls be oweing us” mentalites, but it would be nearly impossible to alter any course that woul be agreeable and productive beyond wrestling with a greased pig. Unlikely they will offer any reasonable solutions other than behaviors that diverge from healthy civil and societal standards. And, not interested in having any placed in any government positions for obvious reasons. Similar to the roundup and removal of illegal aliens, or the financial decay of this country, this is a multi-genrational problem with no easy ( excuse the pun, palletable) solutions with a significanr level of sacrifice and lifestyle disruption….so many topics erupt and diverge to thier own conclusive trajectories.

Maybe start with voluntary sterilzation in exchange for some period of benefits….or a one time payout sum in exchange for being sterilized and departing this country with no chance of coming back. Hate to suggest, but let this be another continent’s problem, although at some point another admin will prioritize taxpayer funds then be directed there for humanintarian reasons.
I’m really struggling with offering any assistance short of expecting that resonable people will have to meet this with some form of terminal or kinetic response.

I certainly look forward to your analysis and those from other contributors. I often look for guidance from so many that have valuable and worthwile input, among them being Lex (https://thelexicans.wordpress.com/2016/02/07/beliefs/). And much like him, I have found you to be in a very similar vein with your thoughtful and patient responses

  3. **people who live on welfare for generations**
That is the LBJ's "Great Society" success story...

  4. I think the shut down is about more than just health care, it's about getting the billions of missing NGO kickbacks flowing again!
With food stamps shutting down in just over a week the shut down will become noticeable.

  5. When I hear these things about people living on government dole, I think of this
For also when we were with you, this we declared to you: that, if any man will not work, neither let him eat.
    [2 Thessalonians 3:10]
And I also remember my parents growing up in the Depression, and friends telling of people that did any work for anyone, just for a few dollars, even in the last 10 or 20 years. I remember a man whose first job in the factory where I worked was sweeping floors. He worked up to a low management position over time.
These people in the videos (if they are real) are parasites and have no sense of reality.

  6. Much like Steveo above, I appreciate your statistical analysis and kind and patient responses. The thing that govt schools has failed to supply (their one deliverable) to the people in the Bonus Link video, is the understanding that to live in the real America, one must assimilate. BIG word, small definition- Act White. Of those in the video a select few attempted to help the thievy bastards.
Here is the process of assimilation.
    1 go to govt school
2 learn to speak, read and write American English
3 get a job, and spend less than you earn.
    4 get a better job
5 learn more stuff so you can earn more
6 work your ass off until you don't have to because of your good lifestyle choices
7 Read Eaton Rapids Joe, every day

All of the migrants in this country, and including the bulk of the African American community have been let down by the govt schools.

    Show them all this.
There I fixed it all for you.

  7. As I was reading the comments I thought back to when I was a kid. There was a "Grasshopper and the Ant" story book. A record (it was a 45rpm as I recall) played telling the story and I followed along with a picture book. There was a "ding" when it was time to turn the page. It told the story that if you don't work you don't eat.
I think that not enough people today were taught that lesson...
