Tatts on hands are very subject to blurring and fading. Bright colors are worst. Black is probably safest.

It is evolutionary behavior....go along with the group.

DeleteTattoos seem to be a common occurrence among the age cohort slightly younger than me and beyond. The ones I think about most are those in the teens and mid-twenties: certainly if I had gotten a tattoo that was meaningful to me back then, I scarcely suspect it would be something meaningful to me now. I do wonder how they will feel about those 30 years hence.

ReplyDeleteIf I was 60 years younger I'd get into the tattoo business. It seems that the girls with really big tits like to get them tattooed and I rather work at that than up at JPs Oil Change. ---ken

I tell my nieces (not that they listen) that you can pawn jewelry if things get tough. You cannot do that with tatts. You can also choose to wear, or not-wear a piece of jewelry. You cannot do that with tatts.
DeleteI guess the essence of fashion is that it doesn't have to be practical. It is proof that you can be wasteful, which is status signaling.
