Michigan Congressman attempts to impeach Trump.
He is the current front-runner to replace Big Retch as governor of Michigan.
Recent news articles contend that this congressman has been accused of abusing 118 beagles (dogs) that were used to test drugs his company sold.
Abuse can range from "yelling" at sensitive dogs to acts that are much more heinous, so it is important to examine the details of the allegation.
In this case, the beagles were used to test the drugs and after the results were collected, the doors to the building that housed the beagles were locked with the intention that the dogs would die of dehydration (which is far more economical than shots of sodium thiopental followed by a second shot of potassium chloride).
In all fairness the charges remain unproven. They could have sprung from the imaginations of the far-left candidates who are pressuring his re-election and gubernatorial aspirations.
Politics prove that you cannot walk through the barnyard without getting slop on your boots.
In my years of travels I have made several notes on people who mistreat Dawgs. Says a lot about a person.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to see the amount of reaching that needs to be done with your attacks against political opponents - while you are silent to the wrongdoings that your party does out in the open. The selective outrage is very transparent.
ReplyDeleteThe Republican Party’s power is in its cohesion, which is fueled by many of its members' willingness to abandon principle and morals. This has been a problem as long as politics has existed, but the degree to which you and others are willing to go for the current MAGA movement is egregious.
I appreciate you trying to shine a light on (unverified, potential) issues with our representatives. But you don’t need to fabricate horrors to smear opponents when your own movement openly embraces them.
The reports of his misbehavior are coming from Huffington Post via the UK, not exactly GOP bastions. From Joe's link:
DeleteShri Thanedar was behind a testing lab that shut down in 2010. The lab - AniClin Preclinical Services - was closed after its parent company, Azopharma, owned by the Democrat, went bankrupt.
Months after the New Jersey lab closed, local animal rights activists alerted authorities to 118 beagles that had been left behind locked in the facility, as reported by Huff Post.
Projection.
DeleteAccuse the "enemy" of what you are doing.
It's what the Dems do, because they do not have a positive way forward.
I wish the Republicans did have cohesion, but the party is filled with too many RINO's that need to be replaced in the primaries.

DeleteThe accusation's validity is not what my argument hinges on. For the purposes of argumentation, we can assume it's true. The point is the blatant and dangerous blind-eye to one's own party while making posts about niche issues like this. Again, happy that this is being brought into the spotlight - but second-hand embarrassed that THIS is what warrants a post and callout from Joe.
@markshere2 The fact that you assume I'm a democrat for calling out this behavior is exactly my point. Republicans do not encourage dissent - you can't even fathom that a Republican voter would levy these criticisms.
@Clabonjones
The fact that there's a label for these dissenters so they can easily be accosted and thrown out of the party is reinforcing my point.
It is so nice to have Gary's comments on your blog to use as range marks ; on line, over, short, target, etc. Perhaps my biases show but hey, I don't think you treated the guy with the muskrat hair do unfairly. For my comments, however. I can't say the same.Ah well - Mea culpa.
ReplyDeleteSigh... Is 'this' the best they have??? Pathetic!
ReplyDeleteLooks like he skinned a dog for his hair piece.
ReplyDeleteShri Thanedar. Not American. What more do we need to know?
ReplyDeleteSend him home. The Indians need him to fight Pakistan.
