Nikolaos Gyzis born on the island of Tinos, Greece 1842, died 1901 in Munich.

Was considered one of the pupils of The Munich School. but was first and foremost a "Greek" artist.

  2. The facial closeout of the old man is haunting. And the falling bottle of wine - a crime!

  3. On closer look, the wine has a string around it, and other bottles on the string, at the bottom. The string appears to be going over his shoulder. I don’t think the bottle is falling, but something is about to let go. Also the cake on the tray is going over too. Great expression on the man’s face. Wonderful painting.
