If you look to the right at the bottom of the pole, you can see the 2-by-6, 8' long diagonal brace to help stabilize the pole.

The wire running across the image to the right of the bat-house is the feed from the barn to the electric fence.

ReplyDeleteWhen I first moved to Austin we would go sit on the bridge bank to wait for the bats to come out. What a sight it was. First one or two then a hundreds then thousands. Awe inspiring sight. One I tried to see as many times a year as possible. Good luck and may your bats prosper and multiple.
